Set the headcount and a rate (either an hourly wage, or an annual salary, which Wasteclock converts to hourly by dividing by 2,080, the standard work-year hours), then tap Start. The dollar figure climbs in real time based on headcount × rate × elapsed time, rounded to the nearest whole dollar.
Yes. Tap either pill below the dollar figure to expand that slider and adjust it inline. The timer keeps running the whole time.
Wasteclock automatically pauses the timer when the app is backgrounded. When you come back, it stays paused: tap the play button to resume. This is deliberate, so a stray notification or phone call never quietly inflates your total.
Only once you're more than 30 seconds or $10 into a meeting. Under that, Reset clears instantly with no prompt. Either way, Reset keeps your last-used headcount and rate for next time; it just won't restart a meeting that's already underway.
Tap it any time, mid-meeting or after, to bring up the iOS share sheet with a plain-text summary (total cost, duration, headcount, and rate) you can send anywhere.
No. Wasteclock is a one-time purchase: pay once, keep it forever. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no ads.
